I trained with Anthony during a very difficult period in my life. My mother was dying. I suppose like most people I had my life in separate compartments. There was my workout/fitness compartment, family compartment, my professional compartment and so on and on. When my mother was dying, all the compartments blended together in one big compartment of pain. Thank God Anthony deals with the total being because this being was in total pain. Amazingly, I learned weight lifting techniques, pushed through reps and tears while Anthony spoke to my life and related my training to the possibility of something extraordinary waiting when I pushed through to the other side. He shared his spirituality, his knowledge of fitness and relevant books with me. A little over two months have passed since my mother’s transition and my life speaks that I have pushed past former lives that tolerated mediocrity. Now I’m working out in the realm of excellence. I recommend Anthony to my friends and they agree that he is excellent, efficient, and encompassing in his approach to training clients. Thank you Anthony Moses.

12 month Transformation
Body Fat: 23% to 9%
Weight: 152 to 136I have been a recreational runner since my last year in college, entering 5K and 10K races and living my the motto “Eat to run, run to eat.” Almost 10 years ago through a combination of over-training, muscular weakness and emotional baggage, I wound up suffering a back injury that ended my running and made it painful to walk, sit, stand or sleep. I was discharged from physical therapy after being told that I would never run again and might even find the repetitive motion of walking and biking too painful.
I found an acupuncturist to treat my pain and set my mind to doing rehab. After a few years, running more than a mile or so still resulted in pain so I decided to try working with a personal trainer. In January of 2004, I finally asked Anthony to help me “build core strength so I can run again.” Though I look OK, I was surprised to find out that I had over 23% body fat and Anthony was surprised to find out that I couldn’t do sit-ups or even a single push-up. No one would have been able to predict that just within 18 months I would be competing in my second body building competition.
Yes, I run again, and I achieved every other possible meaning of my goal as well. Surprisingly, the most remarkable and rewarding part of it all for me is not the outward physical change but the inner experience of change: Not only have I gained over 10 pounds of muscle; I have gained concentration and focus. I feel like everything clicks for me and that I have gained confidence. I feel that my biggest gain has been a sense of internal strength. Not only have I lost over 20 pounds of fat, I have lost the need to be impatient and critical with myself and the need for things to go a certain way. I feel that the most important loss for me has been losing my tendency to over-analyze.
When I think back on my goal I smile because as I repeat the phrase “Build core strength.. I can run again” I recall that I stressed the importance of the meaning that I was conscious of on that day. Yes, I run again, and I achieved every other possible meaning of my goal as well.

24 week transformation
Body fat: 14% to 6%
Weight: 193 to 160I used to work 7 days a week, 10-12 hour shifts, at a plant and also as a part-time trainer at Powerhouse for 8-9 years. As the economy started to suffer, most Tier 1 automotive plants failed. Unfortunately, as a result, I was laid off indefinitely.
I became a personal trainer at Bally’s shortly after that, but I was feeling very unfocused. The income was low, but I was told “everything happens for a reason” – then I met Anthony Moses.
Anthony helped me reconstruct my life and get back to being focused. I became more business-minded and improved as a personal trainer. Anthony also helped me win 2nd place in the Mr. Michigan and Iron Man Bodybuilding Competition. I am thankful to Anthony for helping me change my lifestyle, mind and body!

24 week transformation
Body fat: 18% to 6%
Weight: 210 to 176Anthony Moses’ approach has made me believe that life does not end after 40. With proper nutrition, exercise, and a mind set to succeed, you can feel and look years younger. With Anthony’s encouragement I entered, at age 42, my first bodybuilding contest.
Anthony’s vision of connecting the mind, body and spirit together have made these changes in me a lifestyle that I will continue forever.

It has taken 15 years as a RN to understand true holism – mind, body, spirit, & soul. If we do not achieve internal harmony, how can we provide holistic care? Internal harmony exists when we nurture ourselves from a holistic perspective before we take care of others. I had no choice but to realize the importance of internal harmony when I was not able to perform my role as a nurse for 6 weeks. As an emotional, empathetic, and intuitive nurse, I internalized other people’s energy, whether it was negative or positive. This internalization resulted in high undue stress that led to surgery and recover. During recovery, I had no choice but to reflect on my priorities and goals. I realized that once I put my well being first, then everything will fall into place. I will be able to accomplish all that God has in store for me, including being the best nurse possible.

Anthony Moses was my personal trainer for a year and a half, and it was life-changing experience.
Some people are born to inspire. Anthony’s one of them. Unfailingly good-natured and upbeat, now matter how crabby I was when I arrived at the gym, I always popped back into a good mood once I was around him. Consequently, he got the best out of me, and out meetings became the hour I looked forward to most all week long. And given where I started and where I am now, I’ve got no other word for him but “magician”.
Look – I’m no Superman. But I started as a skinny, flabby guy in his mid-40’s with no physique whatsoever, and within 8 months, had already developed what anybody would call a good build.
I could never have done it one my own. Anthony was rigorous on my maintaining great form, which both helped me build muscle mass, and kept me from getting hurt. His diet suggestions – and cheerleading – got my body fat down to 8-1/2 percent.
More to the point, his consistent enthusiasm and conviction that I could accomplish great things kept me going, and helped me achieve what I’d always believed – firmly believed! – was simply out of reach for me.
This fellow should be on TV. He’s got the gift, he’s natural with people, and his faith in his client’s is boundless. You can’t do better than Anthony.

18 month transformation
Body fat: 35% to 18%
Weight: 240 to 175I was almost 40 years old and was resigning myself to simply being fat. My last desperate act was to hire a trainer.
I knew the trainer I wanted. I saw how Anthony worked with other people. I watched how he interacted with everyone in the gym. He took care of himself, obviously, but I saw the care he took with everyone. It didn’t matter if you were a great athlete, or an out-of-shape, heavy, fearful novice like me. I made the call. I believe now it was God-inspired, truly one of the great blessings of my life.
Training has changed me so much. The parts of me that were already good, like my job, family and spiritual life, just got better. I’ve learned to eat right and eat well. My body is much happier and treats the rest of me better. Each week it gets better. It’s so amazing to me to reconnect with the body I’ve been living in for so long.
Training with Anthony in about everything. You bring your whole self. He is absolutely the best trainer. He lives exactly what he teaches. He know the book learning, but he’s able to read the body and spirit and what you need. It’s more than going through the paces. Training is putting the pieces of your life together, all of you, body, mind and soul.
Done? Never. Training isn’t my whole life. It’s a part, and important one. “No one said it would be easy. Jack it up and do something about it.” Thanks, Anthony. I can’t ever tell you how much.

Dear Anthony,Until I met you I never really understood the power (physical and mental) that I had within myself to change the direction of my life. I knew I needed change, so that is why I joined a gym. I thought that it would be easy - just adjust my diet and ride a bike or walk on a treadmill three days a week - and that would be the answer to all my problems. As it turns out I couldn’t have been more wrong. I always knew that there was a connection between my mind, body, and soul, but for the first time in my life I truly believe in the connection.
Mind: I would never have thought that I would have to think while working out, just get my reps in and I’m all done for the day. But when I clear my mind and think about why I am in the gym in the first place, I have the mental power to concentrate on the workout (whether it’s cardiovascular or weight training) and it becomes easier. I know that sounds a bit backwards but my brain seems to take control and makes my body accomplish short term goals.
Body: I know that a strong body is a healthy body and when I decided to put my health first, and didn’t know how to communicate to you, you understood. You seem to understand if I have a bad day or even a bad week. But you always try to make me understand that I have to get back on track, that the disappointment will wear me down and all I have worked for will fade and I will be back where I started. It has been a slow process and even though I have had a few set backs, I have lost numerous inches and 13 pounds of body fat.
Soul: For myself the most important lesson learned is that it’s what’s inside that counts. If I don’t work at becoming a better person there is no point in becoming a better-looking person. I, like everyone, have the need to be loved and liked and now I know that will not happen because of my physical appearance. I know now to be loved and liked takes a kind heart and a gentle soul.
Sincerely yours!
Sue Miller
I am a 45-year-old female with a family history of high blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes. My father died of a massive heart attack at age 49 and my mother died at age 69. My little sister has had four heart attacks – her first one at age 39!! (scary!!)
This was my main concern for joining a gym. I needed to get my health under control before I became another family statistic.I have been working with personal trainers at A.M. Total Being Fitness since 3-26-08. Since that time, my resting heart rate, blood pressure, body fat and health risk have all improved. I am eating healthier. I feel better and have more energy. I look forward to exercising, which is something I never thought I would enjoy.
All of the trainers truly care about improving your health and helping you achieve your goals. They take the time to get to know you, your goals, your limitations, and develop a workout program that is unique to your needs. Also, they don’t just design a physical curriculum for you; they are very encouraging in their approach, focused on achieving a positive mind set through exercise, nutrition, and giving you the tools you need to continue to live a healthy life.
A.M. Total Being Fitness is not a “gym”. The staff is not in this to sell memberships. They are all committed individuals who practice what they preach, and are all professionals.
I would highly recommend A.M. Total Being Fitness to anyone.

My intention for hiring AMTBF was to deal with stress and stay healthy. I eat right and have been active in sports my entire life (including lifting weights) and have always been the same weight and build throughout. So even though I was hopeful for new results, starting off I was expecting more of the same and to just maintain the healthy status quo.In just a few months, I am a new person! I’m continously getting stronger, feeling great and looking how I feel. It is clear that the results have more to do with my “Total Being” rather than what I’m just doing physically at the studio. I’m now able to take on more in life with the confidence that I can push through any obstacle. The total being approach is a download from heaven, and it works!

When I approached Anthony Moses, I was holding back tears from being so tired of working out all I could say was “I need help”. As our sessions began, I noticed that what made him different from the other trainers that I had dealt with in the past was his enthusiasm, energy and compassion to help bring me out of the dark.

Work got real slow for me, and I gained about 50 pounds in 4 months. My daughter introduced me to Anthony. Since then, I’ve lost 50 pounds and feel stronger than ever. I’m mentally more stable, and I deal with adversity better. I plan on seeing Anthony for years to come.

As a physician, I know that good health goes beyond merely the weight tape. I’ve found that the training at A.M. Total Being Fitness goes beyond the purely physical dimension. In a few weeks, I started noticing my anxiety levels decrease and my level of stress adjust down. At first, I wondered what Anthony was talking about in terms of “Total Being”. After a little training, I’m happy that I wandered through that door… in fact, I recently signed up again myself and paid for my mom to train… she’s loving working out with her trainer too!

Since I started working out at A.M. Total Being Fitness, I’ve lost 30 pounds, which I packed on during the past 30 years. Because I had both my knees replaced two years ago, strengthening my legs and core were as important as losing the weight. The results are readily apparent to all my family and friends – I’m looking younger, feeling stronger, and no longer using food as a crutch to get me through my stressful times. Approaching 60, I hope to have at least another 30 healthy years!

Anthony’s overall positive energy, as well as his staff, make you want to be around them, to learn more and more about life, happiness and overall well-being for your mind, body and spirit. I like working out. It makes me feel good and it will help me keep my mind as well as my body strong throughout my life.

A couple of years ago, I stopped exercising and eating right when my grandfather became very ill. I gained 50 pounds and felt depressed. When I visited Dearborn recently, my friend introduced me to A.M. Total Being Fitness. Since then, I’ve had a positive experience mentally, emotionally and physically. I’ve lost 15 pounds in two months! Because I live out of state, Anthony works with me by email and phone. I never thought that I’d actually feel and look healthier than ever!
